Playing in Papadaddy's garden

We have made it south to the land of bayous and Mardi Gras Parades. The weather has been glorious, and the food has made me a happy cajun girl again. Yesterday was my daughter's first time to experience digging her toes in the dirt. We took a walk in the garden and saw the strawberries starting to grow, the cabbage in full bloom, and the green onions ready to pick. Papadaddy, as all the 25 grandkids call him, showed us how to dig them out and clean them up. She was fascinated by it, and loved the chance to stay outside in barefeet and short sleeves. Can't wait for all the parades this week! Happy Mardi Gras!
